About Me

I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor, and a Registered Member of the British Association For Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My private practice operates from two locations, covering Doncaster, Retford and the surrounding areas.
I work mainly using a Person Centred approach and I also have experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I have worked in a variety of settings with a wide range of clients and mental health issues. For the past 4 years I have worked as a Counsellor for the Salvation Army Counselling service in London. Additionally, I have experience working with addiction and have worked in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinic in Essex. I also spent 5 years working as a Harassment Support Worker for the University of Essex.
I can offer both short and long term therapy, depending on your needs. Examples of issues I have worked with include; depression, anxiety, work related stress, low self-esteem, identity issues, bereavement, disability, addiction, anger management, abuse (sexual, physical and emotional), childhood issues, relationship difficulties, divorce, infidelity and trauma.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work in accordance to their code of ethics. I am fully insured and DBS checked.
